Jesus Christ Crucifixion.jpg

The Bible teaches that there is one God who eternally exists in three distinct, but coequal persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This Biblical teaching is called the Doctrine of the Trinity. It is somewhat difficult for our human brains to comprehend, but we dare not twist the Scriptures to create a God that is more comprehendible. This is the very thing that the Jehovah's Witnesses have done. The leaders of the Jehovah's Witness organization (The Watchtower Society) have tampered with and in many cases misinterpreted God's Word. The result? They have a God who is easy to understand (they have done away with the Trinity), but a God who doesn't exist. He is the creation of their founder, Charles Taze Russell. This god unfortunately cannot save a person from their sins, because he doesn't exist. If you are confused about the Doctrine of the Trinity or the true identity of Jesus Christ, you have come to the right place. In the resources below you'll learn what the Bible teaches concerning the nature and identity of Jesus. We also address the verses that the Jehovah's Witnesses like to cite in their attempts to reclassify Jesus as a mere created being.

The Deity of Christ: An Examination of the Verses the Cults Use to Disprove the Deity Of Christ (DVD)

Jehovah’s Witnesses are asking some tough questions about the deity of Christ. Questions like, “If Jesus was God why did He call Himself the beginning of the creation of God (Revelation 3:14)? Did He have a beginning? Why does the Bible say that he was the firstborn over all creation (Colossians 1:15)? Was He created? Why did Jesus say that His Father was greater than Him (John 14:28)? In this study, Charlie Campbell provides answers to these questions and builds a clear and compelling Biblical case that Jesus truly was who He claimed to be, "equal with God" (John 5:18). Reasoning from the Scriptures with the Jehovah's Witnesses by Ron Rhodes (BOOK)
Ron Rhodes, the author of this fantastic book, is a loving, very gracious, humble and knowledgeable defender of the Christian faith. There are many books that contrast what the Bible actually teaches side by side with what the Jehovah's Witnesses teach, but this book is the best book in print. The Jehovah's Witness organization has falsely prophesied the end of the world numerous times. They deny the physical resurrection of Christ. They deny that Jesus was God the Son. They teach that Jesus came back invisibly in 1914 and that heaven filled up in 1935, just to cite some of their many errors. This book exposes these errors and clearly and persuasively refutes each of these false teachings. But Ron doesn't stop there, he shows the reader how to lovingly bring up these issues with the Jehovah's Witness. We highly recommend this great book! Paperback, 437 pages.
