Introduction To Apologetics

Non-Christians, skeptics, and people of other faiths raise some very good questions regarding the Christian faith, questions that we as Christians should be able to answer. The word apologetics comes from the Greek word apologia found in 1 Peter 3:15 and means "defense." The Bible says that we're to always be ready (thus the name of this ministry) to give a "defense" (an apologia) to people who ask us about the hope we have as Christians. Why does God want us to "defend the faith"? Shouldn't we just preach the gospel? What Biblical examples are there of people involved in defending the faith?
